The wind continued to make life difficult for the competitors during the fifth and penultimate day of the Craw’s Nest Tassie as the 3rd Round took place over the Championship Course in the Tassie and Maulesbank Trophy, with the quarter-finals in both competitions taking place this afternoon.
Thomas Cummings of Dunscar GC continued the excellent form he has shown throughout the tournament as the first seed marched on to the quarter-finals after beating David Abbott 3&2.
There was further success for the local golfers as two-time Tassie winners Andy Fyfe and Scott Mann progressed to the quarter-finals.
In the Maulesbank Trophy, fifth seed Chris McCormack of Blackley GC is the highest ranked player left in the competition after his 5&4 victory over Crow Wood’s Andrew Moffat.
