Carnoustie Golf Links is delighted to officially announce its sponsorship of a penguin as part of Maggie’s Penguin Parade.
Our bespoke penguin design, created by Alison Robertson, will be on display at the Links from 29th June until late September.
Following the success of The ARCHIE Foundation’s Oor Wullie Bucket Trail back in 2016, we were pleased to have the opportunity to help Maggie’s Dundee.
The penguins will be on display in various locations in Tayside throughout the summer before being auctioned off to raise funds for the vital work undertaken by Maggie’s Dundee.
The Penguin Parade has been created by Maggie’s, in partnership with Wild in Art.
Maggie’s provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their families and friends, following the ideas about cancer care originally laid out by Maggie’s Keswick Jencks.
Built in the grounds of Ninewells Hospital, Maggie’s Dundee is a place with professional staff on hand to offer support people need.
Their centres are places to find practical advice about benefits and eating well; places where qualified experts provide emotional support; places to meet other people; places where you can simply sit quietly with a cup of tea.
