Ladies Northern Open 2017

 

The annual Ladies Northern Open took place on the Championship course on Saturday with over 100 ladies competing for the Carnoustie and Gourlay Rosebowls.

It was Edinburgh golfer Karen Marshall of Baberton Golf Club who won the Carnoustie Rosebowl with an impressive round of one-over-par 75 over the Championship course.

Local player Claire Penman of Carnoustie Caledonia had the second lowest score of 80, five shots behind the winner.

The Gourlay Rosebowl for the best nett score was won by Jane Grubb of Montrose Mercantile with a 75 off a handicap of six.

Congratulations must also go to Jennifer Maxwell who made a hole-in-one on the 13th using a 9-iron.
