CGLMC donates over £16,000 to local groups

Over £16,000 was awarded to nine local organisations at our latest Community Benefit Grants presentation, held in The Rookery at Links House.

The cheques were presented to the groups by CGLMC Vice Chairman, Colin Yule and Community Benefits Convenor, Graeme Paton.

The total amount of £16,825 was donated to the following groups:

  • Colourful Carnoustie
  • Carnoustie High School Brass Band
  • Monikie & Newbigging Community Council
  • Food is Free
  • Carnoustie Claymores
  • Wellbank Football Club
  • Kinloch Care Centre
  • Carnoustie Golf Club
  • East Haven Together

The presentation marked the first round of Community Benefit Grants awarded by CGLMC this year and the sixth in total, with the first having taken place in November 2015 after CGLMC was awarded Charitable Status in 2014.

Including the latest presentation, CGLMC has donated £141,867 in total via our Community Benefit Grants and donations to a variety of local organisations and worthy causes.
