Carnoustie Golf Links members David Bond and Jerry Husband will be competing in American Golf’s 9-hole Pairs Championship next month.
The event, which will be shown on Sky Sports is at The Belfry from 6th-8th September.
David and Jerry came through the Scottish qualifier on the Torrance course at the Fairmont Hotel in St Andrews in July, one of the eight regional qualifiers taking place across the UK.
Playing on the back 9 of the course, an impressive stableford score of 21 was enough to see the gents top their half of the leaderboard and book them a place in the National Finals against the other regional qualifiers.
The top four pairs, of the 24 competing, after the first two days of play will progress to a matchplay format, with the eventual winners guaranteeing themselves a place in October’s Tournament of Champions at Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort in Mauritius.
