Carnoustie Golf Links donated £1,000 to Angus Toy Appeal

Carnoustie Golf Links donated £1,000 to top-up the Angus Toy Appeal, just in time for Christmas.

The Angus Toy Appeal is a charity that gives toys and gifts to children up to 18 years old in Angus who live in poverty and would otherwise receive nothing at Christmas. The charity is run by a small group of volunteers and has been around for approximately 20 years.

Speaking of the donation, Michael Wells, Chief Executive of Carnoustie Golf Links said: “The Angus Toy Appeal is a charity that is close to so many people’s hearts because of the fantastic work they do, especially in the run-up to Christmas. Every child in Angus should have something to open on Christmas morning, so we were delighted that our donation went some way towards making that happen.”

Carnoustie Golf Links was awarded charitable status in 2014. Including the latest donation, Carnoustie Golf Links has donated over £185,000.00 in total via donations to a variety of local organisations and worthy causes and our Community Benefits Programme, with £61,881.50 of that total being donated in 2018.”
