Our caddie service is the envy of the country with almost all our caddies being local and many low handicappers amongst them. To maximise your visit to Carnoustie we recommend hiring a caddie for your Championship round. Together with basic bag carrying, reading putts and general caddie services you will be treated to the history and trivia that you wouldn’t otherwise have received.
Ailsa Roy, our Caddiemaster, has been part of the Carnoustie Golf Links fabric for many years and will, on your request, pair up golfers and caddies of similar abilities.

Caddies are also trained for disabled buggy use. We have 2 buggies available only on advance application via [email protected] and on production of disabled documentation. Buggies will be on a 1st come basis and should dates or tee times be moved there is no guarantee that the buggy booking can carry forward. There is no charge for the buggy however the caddie fee applies

It is strongly recommended that caddies are booked no later than 24 hours in advance. Every endeavour will be made to provide caddies that are requested on the date of play but we ask that 24 hours’ notice be given to avoid potential disappointment.
It is kindly requested that unless cancelled 24 hours in advance that the caddie booking remains in place as these arrangements are made specifically for you the golfer.
